Artist’s Profile
Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Ruthy has a strong connection to the natural world. She and her husband enjoy exploring different trails and ecosystems together. With a degree in Environmental Education, she has worked in various educational organizations as a graphic designer and design project manager.
As an artist, her primary influences spring from her passion for the intricate patterns, colors and details found in nature.
Ruthy works in a variety of mediums, choosing one or more to convey a visual story. While most of her paintings are the result of careful planning, others spring spontaneously from her brush.
Ruthy has exhibited her art in Monterey, Gilroy, Morgan Hill, and Palo Alto California, from Seattle to Bellingham in Washington State and at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science, Albuquerque NM.
